Overview Of Your Experience
Individual Experiences
Your session will last anywhere from 60-120 minutes depending on the requested and agreed to treatment(s). Please arrive early to allow your system to calm and prepare for the experience. While we will ground you after your experience, please allow potential additional time to fully come back into your senses and/or to linger in the newly attuned field around you. Each of us responds uniquely to energy work and it is your responsibility to ensure you are ready to engage in the five sensory world of driving, working, etc.
The sacred treatment room is nestled on a hillside above downtown Evergreen surrounded by ponderosa pines, rolling meadows and wildlife. You are welcome to enjoy the waiting area in our yard before or after treatment. You may also want to extend your trip to enjoy the mountain air and quiet nature retreat. Evergreen Lake is just 4 minutes away, Elk Meadow Open Space offers short and long hikes and downtown Evergreen is filled with local restaurants and shops to stroll along.
Before we begin, we will discuss your intentions for the treatment, agree on an overall protocol and review any updates to your health and wellbeing. We will then start the treatment by attuning to each other as this is a sacred agreement between our souls to energetically connect for the highest good for you and for all concerned. I am honored and humbled to be part of this sacred journey with you. After attunement, we will bring your intention into focus through breathwork and meditation to set the tone for your desired journey. Directed intention is a key part of the sound entrainment process.
Depending on the protocol, you may be on a customized massage table or on a yoga mat or sitting in a chair or the ground surrounded by Himalayan Singing Bowls. Some of these bowls may be placed on the body and warm water may be used in the bowls for deeper cellular penetration of the harmonic vibrations. Other instruments may be used like gongs, the tingsha, chimes, bells, the ocean drum, etc. Crystal arrays and healing touch may be used on or around the body. Certain protocols may include mindful movement like yoga, stretching, therapy balls and other movement philosophies like barre and Pilates. Equipment is cleaned and prepared prior to your session and the room has hepa air filtration and humidifying systems.
My goal is to ensure you are comfortable and cared for, so please inform me at any time if I can make you more comfortable emotionally or physically with props, temperature regulation, moving equipment off or away from you, etc. These techniques may induce certain emotions or releases and it is therefore important for you to know that you are always 100% in control of your wellbeing and needs. It is your responsibility to inform me of any emotional, mental or physical needs you may have, including asking me to stop anything at any time, so that I may address your concerns immediately.
Group Experiences
Depending on the partner, location and event theme, Himalayan Sound Journeying, breathwork, meditation and mindful movement may be experienced typically ranging from 45 to 90 minutes.
For Himalayan Sound Journeying, the lineage that I have studied under, the Atma Buti Sound & Vibrational School, is a very intentional and gentle approach to sound therapy and group sound concerts. The deep inner work and healing happens in the silence and the space between the notes, therefore, these sound meditation journeys are very subtle, gentle, harmonic and intentful. The axiom “less is more” is the approach of this ancient Himalayan lineage.
This Himalayan Sound Journeying immersion experience differs from many of the increasingly trendy sound bath promoted experiences that incorporate multiple instruments, many sounds, vast tempo fluctuations and elevated volumes. If you have found yourself uncomfortable from these types of sound experiences previously, which I too have experienced, I recommend opening yourself to this gentle Himalayan Sound Journey that uses only traditional handmade metal singing bowls, gongs and tingshas that are played gently and most importantly orchestrated with the intention to sooth and calm your energy field for deeper inner experiences, relaxation and rejuvenation.
During the Himalayan Sound Journey, breathwork and meditation will be guided to relax into the sound and traditional Himalayan instruments may also be used around or on the body throughout the immersion. If you are not comfortable with bowls on or near your body, please inform us prior or during the event.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to group events in order to sign in, complete waivers and payment and to prepare your space (mats, blankets, bolsters, eye pillows, etc.)
Preparing For Your Experience
IMPORTANT you must fill out the waiver agreement before the individual session or group event. For individual treatments, you will be emailed the health declaration form and waiver agreement at the time of booking. For group events, the waiver will be available at the location prior to the event, so please arrive early.
Below are some recommendations to optimize your experience and self care.
Individual Experiences - please wear comfortable (non-bulky) clothing preferably without buttons or zippers. This is especially important as too much material and metal can interfere with the movement of the bowls across and around the body. Props and equipment are provided.
Group Experiences - please wear comfortable (non-bulky) clothing preferably without buttons or zippers. The event flier will provide specific information about any props provided onsite vs props that you need to bring. Typical equipment that will make you most comfortable includes: yoga mat, bolsters/blocks, eye covers and blankets. We also recommend you to bring any other personal items that may increase your relaxation such as a pillow, crystals or warm socks. Note that your body temperature can decrease when you enter the parasympathetic state of relaxation, so please ensure you have layers or blankets to stay cozy.
For Everyone
Hydrate before and especially after the experience. Bring water for after the session since sound moves a lot of energy and hydrating will assist in release, recovery and assimilation.
Please try to eat at least 2 hours before your experience so that your body is not distracted by digesting and for you to be more comfortable lying down and/or moving.
Ensure that you inform us of any physical limitations you might have such as: pregnancy, metal or electrical implants in the body like a pacemaker or diabetic pump, hearing aids, etc.
Arrive early to your sessions, especially group sessions which can take longer for everyone to get checked in and settled.
Allow additional time after the session to ensure you are grounded and ready to be back in our fast paced world.
Integration & Self Care After Your Experience
Energy work affects each of us differently and it is your responsibility to ensure your self care. Below are some ideas to enhance the energetic experience and integration by checking in with your well being and needs:
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Water will assist in release, recovery and assimilation of the vibrations and energy moving through you in a new and different way.
Plan for a more relaxed calendar after your session and linger in the parasympathetic state. A walk or quiet reflective place may help you process the experience.
Eat a lighter lunch or dinner afterwards.
Take an epsom salt bath to further relax your muscles and sooth your body after this deep cellular work.
Go to bed early for extended restoration and repair.
Tune into yourself regularly over the coming days and notice any changes in your overall well being.
